LOUIS TOMLINSON SIGNS FOR DONCASTER ROVERS – YES SERIOUSLY !!!

 .This is NOT an April fools joke

Our Louis Tomlinson has actually signed for his hometown football club Doncaster Rovers    being given the number 28 shirt for the season .

But don’t all rush to buy tickets for matches at the Keepmoat Stadium just yet, LouLou won’t actually be playing in league matches.

He has signed as a non-contract player for the club to raise money for local children’s hospice Bluebell Wood .

For those not up to date on football in England, Doncaster Rovers are in the second tier called The Championship, which is a level below the Premiership.

Louis did of course play in a charity match at the Keepmoat last season and after discussions with the clubs chairman and manager, was able to sign for his beloved Rovers.

He said: “This has always been a childhood dream for me. I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it’s all about  " .

A statement on the clubs website says: “As part of the signing it is hoped that Louis will be able to appear in Rovers colours at some point this season in aid of Bluebell Wood and train with the lads .”

Well I suppose thats the perks of being an international super star. Most people have to start from the bottom and work their way up, whereas Louis jumps straight into a second tier team.

Although this signing is good news for Directioners, it’s unlikely that this news will go down too well in the football world.
