One Direction’s brand new song ‘Best Song Ever’ has been leaked in
full all over the internet, and first appeared late last night on Tumblr
and Twitter, with videos soon appearing on YouTube.
Out of respect to the band, their management and record label we
won’t be posting any links here, so you’ll just have to wait until
tomorrow morning when it hits our radio stations.
One of our team caught a listen to the first part of it though and
said it “sounds amazing”, but we don’t want to spoil it so we’ll let you
listen to it in full tomorrow.
A few people have commented that the opening part sounds very similar
to another song which we can’t pin down right now. Possibly “Baba
O’Riley” by The Who, though it might also be something else.
When ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ first hit the airwaves people said it
sounded like a rip-off of Grease – ‘Summer Lovin’, and when Live While
We’re Young was released people commented how it sounded just like The
Clash.
‘Best Song Ever’ looks set to go straight to the top of the charts when released in full on Monday though.
The outing of the song is the latest in a series of leaks to hit the
band, as only last year a number of songs from ‘Take Me Home’ found
themselves on SoundCloud, Tumblr and YouTube before it’s official
release. We’re expecting a few angry tweets today.
However, the lyrics to the song are now appearing on other
sites so we’re happy to bring you them too – learn them now so you’re
ready to sing along tomorrow!
