Did Shakira Give Birth?

 

Shakira's boyfriend Gerard Pique spilled the news on Thursday that the couple welcomed a new son, but not

everyone is believing this baby announcement.

Writing in Spanish, the soccer player, 25, tweeted: "Since our son was born! We are very happy! Thank you all for your messages!"

Shakira, who announced her pregnancy mid-September on her blog, has yet to confirm the news, and some are speculating that this is a Twitter prank, seeing as Thursday, Dec. 27, is Spain's Day of the Holy Innocents, similar to April Fool's Day.

UPDATE: Shakira's rep confirms that the tweet was in fact a joke. The 35-year-old Voice judge's rep tells ETonline, "Yesterday was Dia de los Inocentes which is similar to April Fool's. She hasn't had the baby yet
