Liam & Louis Discuss Their Old Friends From Home: “They’re Important”

We’ve always been surprised as to how down-to-earth One Direction are, being that they’re like, the most famous people ever.

But it’s true, they really are just normal lads.

And they’ve more than proved it by admitting that they’re still mates with their good friends back home, and that they definitely didn’t ditch them for the fame.

Liam revealed that although Niall, Louis, Harry and Zayn are his brothers, he’s still the best of pals with his old mates.

He said: “I’ve still got the same friends back home as I did before the band. That’s really important to me. They treat me the same as they always did.”

Louis also admitted that having those old friends, keeps them grounded and helps them remember where they started out.

And that just because he’s a mega celebrity, he doesn’t feel the need to be bezzie mates with all the A-listers of the world.

He revealed: “It would be easy to make a lot of new friends in the industry, but when you see your old mates and they treat you the way they always have done, it brings you straight back to earth.”

We always knew that One Direction were still the same lads who walked on to The X Factor stage back in 2010
