One Direction have won two Radio Disney Awards!

 

Niall, Liam, Zayn, Harry and Louis beat Twitter rivals The Wanted and other nominees R5 and Mindless Behaviour to win the award for Best Music Group.


You great guys won them an award too! One Direction picked up the Fiercest Fans Award for the Directioners, who beat the Beliebers, Mahomies, Selenators and Simpsonizers! Well done Directioners!

One Direction weren’t completely successful though unfortunately. ‘Live While We’re Young’ was in the running for Best Song but lost out to ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ by Harry Styles’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.

They were also up against ‘Want U Back’ by Cher Lloyd and Justin Bieber’s ‘Beauty And A Beat’.

Other winners on the night included Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Austin Mahone and Bridgit Mendler.

These wins for One Direction follow on from their multiple successes at the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards where they won Favourite Song, Favourite Music Group and Favourite UK Band.
