One Direction SMASH The VEVO 24-Hour Record With 12.3M! Miley & Justin Cry

 

So before ‘Best Song Ever’ hit our airwaves Miley Cyrus held the 24 hour VEVO view record with 10.7 million views, and before that it was little old Justin Bieber with 10.6 million.

 

Well how many did One Direction get?

Ok, at VEVO’s first count, 1D had already broke both records with 10.9 million views.
But wait, hold on a moment.

That was just the “first count”.

By the time VEVO had fully counted all the views and came back with the final vote, it was a staggering 12.3 MILLION!

Wowzers!

That means every single one of us who watched the video contributed to a huge new record – 1.5 million more than before.

The song was only announced to the world last month and it’s exploded to the top of the iTunes charts worldwide, and is expected to do the same when each country’s official charts are next updated.


Speaking with the Daily Mirror, a source said:

“The boys had a great time making the movie (video). They couldn’t believe how different they look. They can’t wait for their fans to see them looking like this, they think they will find it absolutely hilarious.”

The source continued to say:

“There was never any question that they would mind looking a little bit ridiculous in the video. All of them really loved their characters and really got into their roles.”
